Procedure

  1. Fill out the form. You can choose from your favorite chartfields or enter a new one by clicking “Details.” (Note: This will not add the chartfield to your favorites. To do that, click on the green “plus”.)
  2. Print out the mail slip (w/ duplicate). You may choose to print out multiple mail slips and keep a supply on hand. Do not copy the mail slip to reuse the same one.
  3. Fill out the mail slip and the duplicate.
  4. Separate the mail slip and the duplicate.
  5. Attach the mail slip to the piece of mail. Put the mail in the box labeled “US Stamped and Mail Receipt” on the side of the mail slots in 148 Rosenau.
  6. Send the duplicate to the fiscal office.

Multiple pieces of mail may be attached to one mail form as long as the entire group is secure (in other words, one or more envelopes can’t slip away from the mail slip.)

Mail Room

The school’s mail room is located on the ground floor of the Hooker building, just off the atrium in the little hallway leading to the lab wing.

Special Services

Bulk mail, business reply mail, and similar services are available from University Mail Services.

If you plan to print self-addressed stamped envelopes to include in a mailing, you must set up business reply mail first so that the envelopes can be printed correctly. Do not reuse old envelopes or old printing proofs for a new project; this will produce billing errors.

As a courtesy, any time you plan to do a large mailing of any kind, notify University Mail.
